For my readers and my dreamers-
This book is for you.
Six books in and I couldn’t thank you more
for the never-ending support.
Here’s to many more books, beautiful souls.
The poems that make up this book are bits and pieces of advice that I wish I would have known at the age of fifteen.
Being a teen is all about self-discovery, but as the years have gone on, I have realized I am constantly trying to figure out who exactly I am.
Dear Me at Fifteen is to not only inspire you to be the best version of yourself today and in the future, but for you to reflect on all the growth you have made.
As you read this book you will notice that it is half poetry and half self-expression journal.
It is meant for you to dig deep into yourself and answer questions you don’t always take the time to think about.
Since this is the ebook version, grab your
own journal or piece of paper to write
the answers to.
Enjoy some inspiration and self-reflection.
Write a message to the top of those mountains.
What do you think you will see at the top
when you arrive? How will that make you feel?
When anxious thoughts appear in your mind, what would you want to tell yourself at that time to help you get through it?
Write about a destination on your map you want to visit. It could be a feeling, a place, or a person! Why do you want to go there?
What types of feelings do you experience when you are alone?
Write a letter to your mind, body, and soul
about how wonderful you are.
Write a letter for your future self for when
things don’t go as planned. Go back to read
when needed.
Write a letter filled with reasons why
you love yourself. Keep adding to this
list if you can’t think of many right away.
Write about a time something didn’t go as planned, but turned out being one of the best things that could have happened in the situation.
Make a list of all the people who bring joy
into your life and why.
If you leave out people who are involved in your life, write about why they didn’t make your list.
Think of something you are super
passionate about.
What keeps you pushing towards
that passion even on days of uncertainty?
Write a letter to someone describing to them something hard you battle in your daily life,
and why it is important to you that they
understand this battle.
What or who is your motivation to keep on swimming forward even if the tide is rough?
Write a kind letter to your stretch marks, your zits, acne scars, or cellulite.
What would be the first thing you would say to the sun if it shined in your life for the first time in awhile?
What does happiness look like to you?
Write a letter to yourself describing your version of what happiness is.
What is something that is out of your comfort zone that you want to do?
What would it feel like to do that?
Something that both scares and excites you at the same time!
How many times a day do you tell yourself how much you love yourself?
Why do you think it is that number?
Where do you want to see yourself five years
from now?
What makes you smile a huge and genuine smile?
What was one of the messiest times that
you went through?
What did it teach you going forward?
If you could have one of your biggest dreams
come true, what would it be?
What are small daily things you can
do to give yourself more love and care?
List them out and then start adding some
into your daily routine.
Are you happy or unhappy with your life currently?
Why do you feel that way and what
can you do to change that?
Has anxiety ever stopped you from doing
something you wanted to do?
If so, what was it?
If you don’t have anxiety,
write a letter to someone who does
and let them know you are there for them.
You are blooming into such a beautiful flower.
What flower would it be and why?
How does the flower reflect who you are?
Describe yourself as if you are viewing
yourself from a third-person perspective.
Write a letter reminding yourself just how important your mental health is.
If you are having trouble coming up with ideas while reading this, come back to it later when you feel like the time is right.
Often times we fear losing happiness.
But the truth is, happiness may come and go,
but it is never permanently gone.

how you feel about it and how important
it is to you.

your growth?
What does your perfect day look like?
This could be weather, activities, etc.
Write out your dream day!
Describe what, “silence” sounds like
in your mind.
If you could wear a shirt that said everything you wanted people to understand about you, what would it say?
What is your victory today? Big or small,
write about it!
Describe what it will feel like to rise after
a dark period of time.
What is something that you have done that
still shocks you that you were able to do?
Or what is something you want to do to shock yourself?
What causes you to feel empty at times?
How do you overcome that empty feeling?
Take time to silence your mind for ten
minutes, then come bac
k and write about
how you feel, and what is on your mind now.
Would you rather feel each emotion or no emotions at all? Why?
You have an open road ahead of you and no worries on on your mind.
Where are you going to go and why?

will do tomorrow and why aren’t you
doing it today?

do people come to you for advice?
Why do you think that is?

than you would like?
Or is it full of petals?

normally do when having a bad day?
Is there a better way you can handle
your bad days?
What do you consider being busy?
Are you busy because you have a lot to do
or are you busy because you aren’t
managing your time in the best way?
How long have you been on your
current path in life?
Are you happy with the scenery?
Why or why not?
Remind yourself once an hour today
that, “you are great.”
Then come back at the end of the day
and write how you feel here.

make you feel 100% happy with who
you are with them?
Why or why not?

Why?

or a few quality friends?
Why?

that this was the worst thing that
could happen to you, how did you
overcome that?

or any higher power you believe in.

in time, what would it be?
